You can order the  cork piece and not have to pay extra for the high-grade aluminum trim. You still get the stability provided by the laminated fiberboard that stabilizes the cork posting surface. Many school districts order the Unframed Cork Board for shop classes or to create a unique bulletin board on their own. You can order the Unframed Cork Board at its full size or specify a custom order.
